How much does it cost?
Do I get charged after the trial ends?

No. To send SOS alerts by SMS or CALL you have the option to pay via the website or a link we send you.

If I download the APP will I be charged?

No. When you first register you will receive 5 alerts to trial our service. When the trial ends there is no fee. If are happy with our service you then login and pay or alternatively call us.

Can I change my plan or cancel my account?

You can cancel, upgrade or downgrade whenever you wish. Email us at info@mysosfamily.com if you need any help. We are unable to offer partial refunds after the first 30 days of using our service.

How can I pay?

Login into your account and click the upgrade button. You may have received a payment link during your trial.

Can I cancel my monthly subscription?

You can cancel your account whenever you wish, and no further payments will be taken after that month.

What is your refund policy?

There are no refunds on monthly subscriptions except pro rata on the first 30 days of using our service.

What do I need to use My SOS Family?

Any phone, a basic mobile phone, home-phone (landline), smartphone or voice service such as Alexa or Google Home/Mini. Apps are available on Android phone or iPhone as well as smart watches.

On the free trial do you ask for my credit card information?

No, we give you free credit which expires after 14 days or when credit runs out. This credit allows new registrants time to decide if the service is what they need.

Who is it for?

The My SOS Family App is for smartphone users who are confident with using apps. It is used by a range of people including: lone workers, people with limited mobility, and elderly users who want to give themselves and their families peace of mind when leaving the house, younger users who want to feel safer when travelling alone.

It can also be downloaded and used by family members to connect with and monitor relatives with other My SOS Family devices.

Does My SOS Family also need the app?

No - The My SOS Family system will work with other smartphones, basic mobiles, landline, text capable devices, compatible with email, and when programmed, will also call through 3 layers of office extensions to deliver an SOS message.

How many emergency contacts can I add?

So long as you stay within our fair usage policy there is no limit, but you don't need to worry. Most users will never meet this limit and in the rare circumstance that you might, we will warn you well in advance and discuss options for either managing your network more efficiently or in very rare cases upgrading your service to allow more data usage.

Will it work Abroad?

Yes, even if you turn off your roaming data. We designed the Android App to automatically switch to SMS when there is no data network coverage.

The app has distinctive extra features:

GPS services, lets your contacts know where you are once an SOS is initiated.

Timer/Countdown, sets a countdown to an SOS alert which triggers when the timer reaches zero, unless it is cancelled.

Alexa

Will Amazon charge me for using Alexa with My SOS Family?

No. Our service is not linked to Amazon. There is no in-app purchase mechanism. You can either login via our website or call us to make a payment.

How do I enable My SOS Family on Alexa?

Download the Amazon Alexa app on your smart phone or link Alexa via Amazon Alexa website. Search "My SOS Family" under Skills, select "Link Account" and then "Sign-Up for Free".

How do I trigger a help alert using Alexa?

Simply say "Alexa, open my sos family and send for help". Alexa then notifies My SOS Family of the request and sends alerts to your designated contacts.
