Do my contacts need to download the app?
No. Only you need the app. Your contacts receive alerts by phone call, SMS and email on any phone — including landlines. They don't need a smartphone and they don't pay anything.
Will my contacts receive a phone call?
Yes. When you trigger an SOS, your contacts are reached simultaneously by phone call, SMS, email and app notification — all at once.
Can a landline receive an alert?
Yes. Phone calls work on any phone, including landlines.
How does the SOS Timer protect me if I lose signal?
Can I share my live location with someone while I am out?
The timer runs on My SOS Family's cloud servers, not just on your phone. If you lose signal and don't cancel it before it runs out, the alert fires from the server side. You don't need to be connected at the critical moment.
Yes. You choose to share for 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 3 hours. Your contacts cannot track you continuously — location sharing only activates when you decide.
