If you feel worried about your safety when performing certain activities, set the S.O.S. Timer.
If the Timer isn’t canceled, when it reaches zero S.O.S. alerts are instantly sent to your SOS Family.
The Timer counts down on our servers, so even if wifi or power is lost, the Timer continues counting down and will instantly alert everyone when it ends.
GETTING STARTED
From your Alexa app, tap ‘Skills’ in the menu and search for “My SOS Family”. Desktop users search for ‘My SOS Family Skill’ in Amazon. Link here
Enter your My SOS Family username & password and follow the onscreen instructions, if you don’t have an account with My SOS Family you can create one there.
Once you have enabled and linked the Skill, you are ready, Ask Alexa Open My SOS Family.

THE SOS TIMER FEATURE
Set SOS Timer for up-to 24 hours, it’s like telling someone, if I don’t return, come & help me.
The Timer starts in our safety cloud & if you’re unable to cancel the timer, because something happened to you, we automatically and instantly alert emergency contacts when the timer ends.
This feature is helpful if you’re worried an activity may result in you being unable to talk to Alexa to send an SOS. You can set the countdown timer by simply saying:
“Alexa Open My SOS Family and set the timer for 20 minutes”.
Alexa then synchronises the My SOS Family service (via the internet) so that if there is an incident, wifi stops working or even a power cut, our system will continue the count down remotely and trigger the SOS alert automatically to your contacts.
If you’re OK, you must cancel the timer by saying:
“Alexa to Open the My SOS Family Skill”
Otherwise SOS alerts will be sent to your emergency contacts.
