HOW MY SOS FAMILY WORKS
My SOS Family is designed to send alerts quickly to a list of preferred emergency contacts. Alerts can be triggered by simply tapping a button or calling for help to your smart speaker. The My SOS Family alert system will then simultaneously call and text the people in your emergency network, immediately alerting them to your need for assistance. Using our first-responder system, which is super quick and easy for everyone.

THE MY SOS FAMILY WAY
"My SOS Family" describes the My SOS Family App's unique SOS Alert service. In this context, "family" includes a trusted network of people who know the user's needs, concerns, and well-being.
These people have built trust and care with the user, understanding their unique circumstances and going above and beyond what a monitoring call centre employee would do.
The My SOS Family App lets users choose their own emergency contacts—usually friends, family, co-workers, or caregivers—unlike a generic monitoring service. These people are close to the user and know their medical conditions, personal preferences, and needs in times of distress.
The user trusts their "family" of contacts to be empathetic, compassionate, and dedicated to their well-being.
The My SOS Family App offers emergency alert services with a personal touch, unlike a traditional monitoring call centre. In Contrast the user's SOS network contacts understand their unique situation and provide support and care beyond the call of duty.
When an SOS alert is triggered, the user can rest assured that their "family" of contacts will be there to help in a way that suits them.
These contacts are driven by genuine concern and an intimate understanding of the user's situation, not professional constraints.
They may visit the user, provide emotional support, or arrange immediate medical care.
Thus, "My SOS Family" refers to a close-knit group of trusted people who care about the user's safety. It goes beyond a professional relationship into genuine care and personal connection.
This network gives My SOS Family App users a sense of security, knowing they have a team of people who will always prioritise their needs and provide support in times of need.

1. FRIENDLY FIRST-RESPONDER PROCESS COMBINED WITHIN ALERTS
Like a Police response system, with the most available responder helping.
All Alerts request a response (see how easy in video below) asking your SOS Family network to reply to a text , click a link, respond to phone call if they can help, so there’s nothing to remember.
First person’s response to reach us is assigned ‘first-responder” status.
We text that person “confirming” they’re the first-responder, so they can help.
Simultaneously updating everyone else, to put them at ease.
There can Only be One First Responder, when others reply at the same time or after, we let them know it’s ok and who is responding.
Saves precious time, eliminates duplication & appreciated by all.
2. WE SEND ALERTS, NOT YOUR PHONE
We Alert your emergency contacts, freeing you and your phone.
It is faster than having to make calls or send SMS’s especially when you don’t know who is available and can help.
One touch is all you need, whilst we’re alerting emergency contacts for help, your phone can also automatically call emergency services, see instructions for iPhone or Android phone.
3. ASSURED YOUR ALERTS ARE NOTICED
It’s easy to ignore SMS’s, Notifications or WhatsApp messages, especially when someone’s busy or it’s an inconvenient time.
We’re delighted to tell you because we Phone (see video below) your trusted network. This combined with SMS, email & notification alerts mean your alerts are noticed.
Do add phone numbers into “SOS Call” field of your SOS Family Contacts.
4. LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND
Your emergency contacts do NOT need to have Apps, Data or Wi-Fi.
They just need to have access to any type of phone, for example a landline / basic cell phone which means users who do not have smartphones can still be alerted via a phone call and can be a first responder.
Emergency Contacts living abroad can also be included as SOS contacts as we operate in the following regions: UK, USA, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Ireland, India, Israel, Germany, Belgium and Sweden.
We believe no-one should be left behind, and everyone can be part of the SOS Family support network.
5. UNRESTRICTED AND UNLIMITED
You control and add as many emergency contacts as you desire, helping to increase the chances of one of your emergency contacts picking up the alert quickly.

6. LOCATION PRIVACY YOU TRUST
Emergency SOS Contacts can easily locate our service user because the SMS Alert includes a link to either, a (GPS) Google map link of the users last location, a recorded message which should include the sender’s location or say’s sent from Alexa / Google Nest therefore user is at home.
Emergency Contacts cannot track users of My SOS Family and therefore privacy is always maintained, only when the user requests help is their location is sent.
7. LINK YOUR AMAZON ALEXA OR GOOGLE NEST FREE
Anyone that uses My SOS Family App or Speed-dial can also link their account to a Smart speaker like Alexa or Google Nest at no extra cost and vice versa with Smart speaker users being able to use the App too.

8. USE SPEED-DIAL AS A BACK-UP FREE
If your smart phone doesn’t have access to data or internet, you can use the Speed-dial function on your landline or smartphone as a fast back-up method to send alerts.
It’s as simple as making a call.
This provides users of My SOS Family access to protection fast, anytime, anywhere and on any device.
9. VITAL INFO. SAVES TIME
Easy and Fast to use, press one screen button, one speed-dial button or say one phrase to the speaker, that’s it, and the location and our standard message is sent to all.
If you have time; users can type or say a message that will be added to Alerts, smartphones allow adding a photo, this info can be vital to emergency contacts.
10. RANK EMERGENCY CONTACTS OR DON’T
The Default is all emergency SOS contacts are instantly and simultaneously alerted by calls, texts, emails, in-app notifications.
You can Rank them to alert one person after another, or one cluster of people after another.
For example, SOS contacts living nearer to the user could be left on the default instantaneous alerts whilst those living or working further away could be delayed, add family and friends abroad too.
This minimises disruption because as soon as any SOS Contact responds (see 1. above) to the Alert, only SOS contacts who’ve received an alert are updated with who the responder is, those who’ve not been alerted due to their rank/delay are never alerted/disturbed.
Edit each SOS Contact, change the last field: “Send Alerts Instantaneously”
11. FAILSAFE FOR FIRST RESPONDERS
Taking ownership and becoming the first responder is easy (see 1. above).
We know life is unpredictable, circumstances change, especially if someone delayed, that’s why we send the first responder an extra text with a simple instruction;
“If something happens and you can’t help, text back “RESENDSOS” or click this link.”
If they do, we alert everyone the first responder is no longer able to help, we then start the alerting process again sending everyone alerts/calling them.
12. SPEED-DIAL FOR LANDLINES AND BASIC PHONES
If you don’t have a Smartphone, yet want to enjoy the same sense of security when outdoors, you simply call a special number we provide, calling it very quickly by using the phones Speed-dial feature.
It also works on home phones (cordless or corded) or simple push button basic mobile phones when you are outdoors at no extra cost.
The My SOS Family Speed-dial feature also allows you to leave a recorded message which your emergency SOS contacts can easily access.
13. EMERGENCY SMARTPHONE APP
You can enjoy the same sense of security when you’re outdoors because you get the My SOS Family Smartphone App to use at no extra cost.
The My SOS Family App is easy to use, has a big onscreen SOS button and sends your GPS map location in alerts so you can easily be found.
