Compared to Amazon Alexa’s standard calling or messaging features using either My SOS Family or Ask My Buddy is better as they both provide better coverage as contacts do not need to have Apps, Smartphones or Data and WIFI.

WHO CAME FIRST?

My SOS Family started with Emergency SOS devices in 2014 and then moved into Apps in 2015, in 2016 My SOS Family created TeleCare services linked to basic phones and then in 2017 the My SOS Family Alexa Skill, Ask My Buddy started with the Alexa Skill in 2015.

ARE BOTH SERVICES THE SAME?

Yes and no, yes in terms of both will call and text your emergency contacts and therefore both get the alert out and that’s where the similarities stop, the rest of the differences are down to the features each one provides and the benefit to you and your family.

WHICH ONE IS BETTER VALUE FOR MONEY?

I know this sounds like a cop-out but it’s down to how you feel about each feature and the benefits you and your family will get the best out of , whilst My SOS Family has lots of features and you get the App and home phone system free with the Skill, if you’re never going to use the others then just compare the core Alexa features of both only, you can’t go wrong choosing either one.
